My love of music seeped through the careers of my parents; my Father was a teacher of singing and drums and my Mother is a pianist. This was bolstered by the musical ventures of my elder siblings learning instruments and introducing me to a vast array of music. The source of my love of film music started with two composers - Howard Shore and Hans Zimmer. 'The Lord of the Rings' films will (and always will be) my favourites, and the score by Shore greatly contributed to this adoration - particularly his work with themes and motifs.

Hans Zimmer's score for 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' was the first motion picture soundtrack I remember listening to outside of the film itself - most time spent listening to the cassette (yes, cassette) in the car.

With the childhood whirlwind obsession of 'Doctor Who', came an obsession with the music too. And Halo composer, Martin O'Donnell, instantly ignited my love for piano with the famous hammered octaves. You will hear all of these in my work, alongside my own twists and spices, so I feel it is important for you to know where the music for your projects is taking inspiration from. Although, I can't promise I'll be able to come up with Oscar winning scores out of the blue like Howard...
